To maintain simplicity, every member begins by choosing between two main categories – Property for Sale or Property Wanted. Regardless of the type of property you’re looking to sell, rent, trade, lease or buy, every listing description begins with this high level category selection. There will be an opportunity to refine the listing's details as you move through the Four-Step listing process. Distinctive property listing criteria is available so others can effectively search out specific listings in the marketplace.

Compared to other websites, this two-way interaction listing model promotes increased flexibility and additional value to every member or non-member of Austin Metro.

Selling Property? Create a Property for Sale listing

If a member desires to sell, rent, lease, sublease, or even trade property currently under their possession or supervision, the Property for Sale listing type should be chosen. Various types of Property for Sale listings can exist within our marketplace.

For example, members may want to create a Property for Sale listing to sell their single family home by owner. Additionally, the Property for Sale listing category would be chosen if a member owns a 2 bedroom condo and wanted to post a listing advertising for a potential roommate interested in renting the second bedroom for a specific length of time.

In either example scenario above, there is ample space allowing each member to specify transactions terms and conditions and describe the property in detail.

Want Property? Create a Property Wanted listing

If a member is looking to purchase, rent, lease, sublease, or even trade for property not currently under their possession or supervision, the Property Wanted listing type should be chosen. Like the Property for Sale listings, various types of Property Wanted listings can exist within our marketplace.

For example, a Property Wanted listing would be chosen if a member in the Greater Austin area were looking to purchase a home in a specific subdivision with very specific features. Additionally, the Property Wanted listing category would be chosen if a budding entrepreneur needed to sublease short term or long term office space in order to get a business going.

In either example scenario above, there is ample space allowing each member to specify an optional desired price and describe the wanted property in detail.

Potential sellers of property are able to search and view Property Wanted listings in our marketplace and respond privately using our built-in messaging center.
